1961 Decimal Definitives
A short-lived set, issued in February 1961 due to the change over to
Decimal currency, this set was already obsolete by the end of May 1961.
This always strikes me that by using some of the designs of recent
commemoratives, along with designs of the Wildlife definitives that this
was only ever intended to be a stopgap issue. The R1 value is hard to
find in fine used condition.
